Spring 2026 Write-IN Candidate Application

Completing this form is your first step in running in our Spring General Election Season. You must complete this form in its entirety, and submit your corresponding Signature Sheets to the Elections Commission Office in Blackburn SLA Suite 113 by Wednesday, March 18th @ 5:00 PM (and Grad Candidates will submit through this form).

Signature Sheets

Pursuant to Section 411, Item 3 of the Howard University Student Elections Code, a write-in candidate for any office must submit a petition containing signatures amounting to at least 15% of the constituency they seek to represent. For ALL UNDERGRADUATE CANDIDATES, you must submit your signatures electronically via the form AND turn in the physical papers to the Elections Commission.

Graduate Candidates will submit their signature sheets electronically via the candidate application ONLY.

$10 Dollar Application Fee

NOTE: The CashApp is currently shut down due to issues with the amount of fees that we have received in the past week, so until that is up and running again, we will reach out about payment at a later date.)

Please note that all applications are contingent on the Commission’s receipt of your $10 application fee sent to the Elections Commission CashApp ($huelection1867)

The presentation for this meeting will be sent to candidates upon submission of their Write- In application to the Commission.
